    Super Mario
    Super Street Fighter

    @zer0sh1k1:
SLCD is a fairly recent thing. AMOLED was the big thing when these phones were under development.

Well I’m pretty sure I’m rocking an AMOLED in my Desire. They’re gorgeous screens but sadly almost impossible to see in sunlight.

Well apparently the phenomena has already been captured on video.

To be fair, can’t see too much of a difference…

I, too, am confused. I thought they were no longer making the Nexus One. Are they going to be sneaking into peoples homes and secretly switching their screens in the middle of the night???

Guys we need something to one-up this whole retina display nonsense.

Just add ‘Super’ to the front of it. People eat that shit up.

Oh man you’re totally getting a promotion.

@Sockatume: To be fair, Anakin was able to [safely] crash land a portion of The Invisible Hand in Episode III, despite the thing being torn up on reentry, and none of the blazing hot air rushing into the gaping wounds of the remainder of the ship.

Well, that sucks. I really like AMOLED. I don’t have it in a phone but my Cowon S9 has one and it looks fantabulous. Great for watching movies and TV shows out and about. The only thing I don’t like about it is in direct sunlight it washes out something terrible. I still love it though :)

Im not a color snob, so I love the saturation my nexus one’s screen has. There are two other problems though: burn in, and daylight readability.

The latter is actually quite bothersome.

    Yeah!

Someday they are going to make a smartphone with so many features that they will forget to put the phone in it.
Engineer 1: “Oh Crap, we forgot to put a phone in the damn thing!”
Engineer 2: “Nah, don’t worry about it, we’ll just tell them there is some kinda antenna problem and with the way AT&T runs their network it could be years before anyone finds out that the damn thing doesn’t even have a phone.”

@Blackened: Google stopped the sell of Nexus One to the public but it is still available through Vodafone in Europe or to Android developers.

This is a total affront to our intelligence. I’m sickened that HTC think they can get away with a con like this. There is absolutely no way that a Starfury would ever visit Coruscant, and that specific model is not capable of atmospheric flight.

Warning: I’m not well informed on the Nexus one, take it easy on me…

Anyways, I know they pulled the Nexus One, and I thought I heard where they weren’t going to produce a “Nexus Two”…

Think they might switch the screen and ramp up production of more Nexus Ones, and maybe make some Nexus Twos?

Are they trying to say that SLCD is better than AMOLED? Then why don’t they use SLCD from the first place?
