Apple Time Capsule MB765LL/A 1TB
Backing up is something we all know we should do, but often don’t. And while disaster is a great motivator, now it doesn’t have to be. Because with the Apple Time Capsule, the nagging need to back up has been replaced by automatic, constant protection. And even better, it all happens wirelessly. Time Capsule includes a wireless hard drive designed to work with Time Machine in Mac OS X Leopard. Just set Time Capsule as the designated backup drive for Time Machine, and that’s it.
This updated version of Apple Time Capsule features a 1 TB hard drive and includes several new features. It now operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously to ensure top performance for all your devices, and it provides a new Guest Networking option for easy

When the Time Capsule works properly, it’s great. Unfortunately, this is a rare occurrence. This was a complete hassle to set-up right out of the box. My Apple Care plan for my Mac covered the Time Capsule too, and boy was I glad. I had to call in several times to troubleshoot the thing. It’s VERY flaky and needed to be re-setup roughly once a month. And yesterday it finally died. It powered down after being on for a few months. I was able to get some life out of it, but just heard a grinding noise (presumably the hard disk spinning) and it eventually died for good. Good riddance. What a disappointment. Now I’m going to find a cheaper alternative that (hopefully) works.

This device is outstanding, and it arrived in 2 days. If you need further info during setup, don’t hesitate to go to the apple site mentioned in the manual included with the time capsule. The manual available on the site is much more detailed, although the included one really has all you need to get going. I have a pc (hp 9250 desktop) which I am running off the time capsule network, and that is working great.
